A young woman striving to graduate

Her name is Siham Ayele. She is known for her tireless efforts to make young people competent and attractive. Siham, like many new graduates, has not suffered from job loss. Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Siham got a job as a sophomore. She completed her education up to 12th grade at the Nazareth-only girls’ school and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University. At the age of three, she traveled to six foreign countries, including Africa and Europe, where she graduated with honors.

Siham is currently working as a director of Informed Solutions, a subsidiary of Deredomotcom. About 90 percent of the 50 staff members working on this project, which will provide employment opportunities for university graduates, are women.

“Unemployment in our country has reduced the chances of finding jobs for citizens, especially young graduates,” said Siham, who started training for the job after identifying these gaps. According to the study, there are many reasons why young graduates do not find work quickly. One of the most important is the lack of access to information. The second is that there are not enough job opportunities, and the third is that the workplace is far away. “Ignorance of job opportunities is one of the reasons why women are not able to find work,” Siham said.

She says that although women are aware of the options, they may not be able to find a job because they do not have the resources to do so. Siham’s lack of confidence, lack of self-confidence, lack of response to questions, lack of financial or experience, and lack of preparation for interviews are not uncommon. LevelComcom is undertaking various activities to solve the problem.

Although “stepdocom” benefits all graduates regardless of gender, it pays special attention to female graduates. The focus is on the fact that young people have not had access to education in the past and that access to higher education institutions is low. In this case, it is important to support those who are qualified to graduate. Based on this, the first step is to provide graduates with various training that will enable them to develop their skills before and after graduation.

Since its inception, the organization has provided training to 100,000 graduates. It also has a “leadership project” for leadership development related to the creation of female leaders in Ethiopia. The leader began his career in 2018 and will work in partnership with Earyan Solutions. Every year, 30 female students of higher education participate in the training and 90 students have so far benefited from it. However, the project is limited to Addis Ababa and is being expanded to other regions.

“Educate and graduate children for a family, especially girls. It is a great achievement to see them graduate and get a job, ”says Siham, who is a freshman. She told us that when she finished her 12th grade at Nazareth High School, she was looking for a job.

In her mind, “Why?” He wondered what would happen to her when she graduated from university. She chose Political Science and International Relations when she entered; She was worried that she would not be able to find a job. It was at this point that she realized that she needed to get some advice or preparation from high school.

Siham chose the field of political science after reading various books in the 11th grade. She is a student of social sciences. Led her to examine the facts in depth. It also allows her to focus more on economic and business issues. She explains that this is why she chose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Political Science International Relations.

“I have two brothers and two sisters. “I am the fifth and last child of my parents,” said Siham. She explains that they helped her to focus on her studies and to develop complete self-confidence. She recalls that even though their father had given their three daughters such freedom, their treatment for her was exceptional.

She points out that she has had ample opportunity to read books on national and public governance, foreign relations, poverty, economics, and other issues from her teenage years to the present. It gave her courage and improved her relationship with others. It helped her to succeed in school and to use the skills she received as a first-year student to get into the world of work faster. She wanted more and more young people, especially graduate women, to follow in her footsteps. That is why it is so important to focus on training your students. There is no stone unturned to make women more involved in the training. For example, in the early years of his career at Mekele University, Mekelle University developed this qualification and provided pre-employment training. Of the 2,000 students who participated in the training, less than five were females. “I was surprised and asked where the female students were,” she said. She was told that they had no information about the training and that they were in a dormitory. When she was a first-year university student, she remembered that the coordinator of the training came to the women’s dormitory and invited her and her friends to participate in the training. Immediately after receiving the information, the female students dispatched the dormitory to the rest of the female students. After that, several women were able to participate in the training.

The training includes the use of technology, starting with telephone and computer. One of the reasons why not all graduates get a job as soon as they graduate is because there is a gap in their use of technology. This gap is widening because it affects women economically. Many do not even have a smartphone. Those who have it do not know how to use it.

During his five-year stint, Dredotcom has focused on all of this, graduating thousands of students. Since its inception, it has led to the establishment of the Job Creation Commission, which has attracted the attention of graduate students, especially female graduates, in government and private employers.

“Working on women is about working for the community and the country,” Siham said.

She also mentions the courage of women who have been in high demand because they are more efficient and effective than men. Most employers testify to them and that they want women to send female employees. We conclude today’s article with this, Siham idea.
